About us
Tagore Tech is pioneering a new semiconductor process that enables high RF power at competitive price points. We are a fabless semiconductor company with design centers in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Our R&D team is dedicated to developing disruptive solutions leveraging wide bandgap technologies that address RF design challenges and accelerate time- to-market for a wide range of applications, from 5G cellular infrastructure to consumer electronics, automotive, and defense and security. Our high-power products, including RF switches, RF low-noise amplifiers, and RF power amplifiers, are essential for wireless infrastructure and high-power radios. We partner with leading semiconductor foundries and assembly houses to deliver products that offer premium quality and proven high reliability.
Overview
TagoreTech is seeking a talented and motivated RF Product Engineer to join our team. This position bridges engineering design, operations, quality, and manufacturing to ensure smooth New Product Introduction (NPI) and robust sustaining support for high‑volume production products. The engineer will own product readiness from prototype through mass production, driving yield, performance, reliability, and manufacturability improvements across the lifecycle. An ideal candidate would have some background in RF components and relevant requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with RF Design Engineering, Test Engineering, and Operations to transition new GaN RF products from development into production.
- Define and execute NPI readiness plans including characterization, qualification, test program validation, and manufacturing process alignment.
- Collaborate closely with Quality Engineering in supporting product-level root cause analysis during early builds; drive corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
- Develop and maintain product documentation including specifications, build requests and assembly documentation, test limits, BOMs, and other manufacturing instructions.
- Support vendor onboarding and process readiness for new products, including wafer fab, assembly, and test partners.
- Ensure new products meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability targets before release to volume production.
- Monitor production performance, yield trends, and outgoing quality for released products; drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain and optimize test programs, guard bands, and product limits to ensure stable high-volume performance.
- Support cost-reduction initiatives through test time optimization, yield enhancement, and BOM/assembly improvements.
- Collaborate with supply chain and quality teams to resolve vendor issues, material deviations, and process excursions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or related field.
- 3–10+ years of experience in RF semiconductor product engineering, test engineering, or related discipline.
- Strong understanding of RF device physics, GaN or similar high-power RF technologies, and RF measurement techniques.
- Hands-on experience with RF test systems, automated test equipment (ATE), and statistical data analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional problem solving in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Experience with reliability qualification, yield analysis, and production ramp support.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Success Traits
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to drive issues to closure.
- Excellent communication skills across engineering, operations, and external partners.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment with evolving priorities.
- Analytical thinker with a bias toward action and continuous improvement.
This position offers an exciting opportunity for professional growth in a fast-paced environment where innovation is encouraged. If you are passionate about RF component Quality and Reliability and eager to contribute your expertise, we invite you to apply for this rewarding role. Tagore offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development. We’re a small team, where close collaboration and innovation is key.
